Our Capabilities

Our Recent Projects

  • The East Baton Rouge Flood Risk Management project included three basins within the Amite River watershed: Blackwater Bayou, Jones and Ward creeks. The purpose was to reduce water surface elevations and the extent of flooding in the basins. The schedule was extremely tight as results were needed quickly so design could proceed to maintain USACE program schedule.

    AIMS was tasked to provide program management services. AIMS’ CPAR ratings for this project were “Very Good” for quality and “Exceptional” for schedule, cost control, and overall management.

  • AIMS GROUP was tasked to provide program and project management support for efforts related to the water resources program in south Louisiana including the Hurricane and Storm Damage Risk Reduction System (HSDRRS) and the Mississippi River and Tributaries (MR&T) Mississippi River Levee Construction (MRL-C) and Operations and Maintenance Program (MRL-M).

  • The Council on Watershed Management approved eight provisional watershed regions in 2019 and a ninth region in 2023 to coordinate flood risk reduction efforts among parishes and distribute project funds across the State of Louisiana. AIMS Group serves as a technical partner to the State Watershed Program Management Team.

    Our responsibilities include technical review and project development assistance for Watershed Grant Projects. AIMS’ responsibilities include evaluating projects to be sponsored by local partners, assisting local and regional partners with their respective grant applications, augmenting the state’s staff to help with grant administration duties, flood plain management, and hydrologic modeling.
